Helens Saturday
Well i guess i should start this off cause no one else is going to….i have had a lovely day today, spent most of it dancing at the SCBD for a gala they had today, not paid work but well worth the publicity. 4 news papers turned up and i managed to get a plug in for Shiraz which hopefully will be in the paper (if i did my job correctly) . I will put some pictures up but i will have to find out how the heck to work it first. My new camera ran out of batteries so only got a few pictures and they are not the best but never mind.
The boys rugby was cancelled this morning which meant i was able to sleep in and spent the morning in bed reading my book….i am reading of all things Jane Erye (sp) lots of very proper! english and after reading 30 or so pages i find myself speaking the same way…very very odd or maybe im just easily lead!
Jake was very unhappy he couldnt go to rugby!!!!! NOT
It is meant to snow tonight, down to 500 metres, we are at about 400 i think, would be great to see snow on the ground in the morning, but i dont think its quite cold enough for that just yet. Although i am inside and the fire is going so what would i know!

Not much happening here today - it's Mothers Day and Rachel and Stu have had a lovely relaxing day out - and me? Well I've had all their kids - seriously thought of drugging them especially Dylan but as it happened both he and Matthew went to sleep. But whoopee my phone just beeped Rachel is home and her kids have cut a track!
Johnny is supposed to be visiting today. Donelle texted me to say HMD. She was woken by her kids jumping on the bed at 6am this morning. Mali made her a card at kindy complete with a little chocolate heart -unfortunately he ate the chocolate before he gave her the card!
I put the fist coat of polyurethane on the pantry shelves today. It will need at least two. Dad has the compressor all ready to go ready for painting the cupboard doors next weekend. Thats the doors for the new kitchen. The bench top is finished and its lovely - just as I wanted it the colours of paua.
MESSAGE FOR SEAN
Hi Sean
Big news of the day here is that Mike (from across the road at Barfootes) is moving the the South Island. He has a new job as 2IC at a brand new big dairy farm in Fairley which I believe is about 2-3 hours south of Christchurch. He told me today he'd really like for you to come and spend some time with him and Elaine and work on the farm. It's a new farm owned by a co-op with new shed, new races, fences, sheds in fact everything is brand new, even the houses on the farm. There is the Manager, Senior Herd Manager (Mike), 3 dairy workers, and 3 part-timers who rear calves. He works 6 days on and 2 days off. Sounds like a good deal. There are 700-800 cows by the way.
