INTELLIGENCE OF SHEEP

Too many people still use sheep analogies in derogatory ways. The word is used to imply someone who possesses no independence of thought, who is a passive follower of trends. The word sheepish can also mean embarrassed, lacking in confidence or looking a bit guility. Such lazy stereotypes do a considerable disservce to a proud speices. Sheep are cleverer than many think.
