Jamie said it was time to go, I foolishly thought that we would head into town, but no we headed on the road over to Sumner and then up the summit road.

I thought to myself ok this is just a decoy and we will head into town shortly for my surprise, but at the top of the summit road we stopped and he said lets go for a walk. The weatherman said it was meant to rain, but it wasn’t raining, we were standing on the mountain with a most amazing view, all of Christchurch City was covered in sea mist and the sun was bouncing off the mountains, something I have never seen before, and a most spectacular view.

Anyway we walked a short distance to some rocks that looked over Lyttelton and Jamie turned me around to face him, he got down on one knee, reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black box and proceeded to ask me to marry him. I was overwhelmed and extremely happy, and yes I said YES.

After a while… we went down to Sumner for a coffee and then back home and we had a bottle of beautiful French champagne on the deck in the candle light, looking out over Lyttelton with all its lights.
Not long after he brought me out the most beautiful boutique of flower and we went and had dinner to celebrate at a new restaurant in Lyttelton.
I won’t tell you what happened when we got home because that’s not really for this blog or family!!!!!

Well I am now engaged to be Mrs Jamie McPhail. However we did talk about creating the Mrs Kuljish-Mcphail name, but hell that would just be way to confusing to anyone that needed to get my name down in ink.

We are thinking that our wedding might be late next year or early the following year, I guess that will depend on a lot of things. And mum tell dad he better get a suit together cause I want to walked down the isle with him in a suit! Hahahahahahahah its great to be the bride and get what ever you want.

That was a really romantic story. I'll have start looking for a suit that will fit over Dad's belly!! Maybe he will just have to lose weight for his big walk down the aisle. I told Colin last night and I think he expects an invite!! He told Loey he'd take her to Christchurch for your wedding!!

Well that was very romantic wasnt it...when me and stu got engaged, he put the box beside me on the couch hoping i would notice it, but dylan picked it up lol ... and i said whats that to dylan and he opened it lol...and it was my ring..so much for romance lol...i dont think i said yes, and still havent lol..poor stu....Well i think it woul dbe a good idea to get married up this way, cause i would not be able to afford to take my tribe down to chch, plus nana and grandad would not go either, which would be a shame not to have them there, its a good idea to have sean and jake as you bridesmaids lol....

now thats a scary thought!
and yes i know you think its a good idea to get married up there as you have said it several times to me....you will just have to see what we decide on wont you.

Dont you think you should put Stewart out of his misery and say yes ....i guess the fact you are still living with him kinda gives the game away doesnt it!

It would be a good idea to get married up here cos everyone would get the chance to meet Jamie and he of course would meet everyone here - but then it better be after the ceremony or he may not go through with it!!
I don't think you have to hold hands with Dad - just link arms - that would be a bit easier for you.

Donelle and Ray will have to start saving now if they are to go to the wedding - and we all know how good at saving they are!! Maybe Ray could pick up a few dollars doing some after hours work? And then there is the extended Kuljish clan - wow this is looking like one expensive wedding.
